G-to-LWSS refers to any conduit that converts a glider to a lightweight spaceship. Luke Kiernan found a G-to-LWSS smaller than the previous best one on December 12, 2023,[1] using a 4-catalyst search where one of the catalysts was required to be transparent.

Specifically, the search found a new wing-to-LWSS converter that could be attached to a known glider-to-wing conduit from June 2023[2]. The combined conduits form a stable glider-to-LWSS converter that is still technically composite, but contains only two stages. Previous engineered G-to-LWSS converters had to split and then synchronize multiple active objects to produce an LWSS, using many more stages.

The recovery time is 188 ticks.

It can be used to create a p149 oscillator using the LWSS-LWSS deflection, as noted by Entity Valkyrie 2.[3]

p149 oscillator found by Entity Valkyrie 2 on December 15, 2023.
It seems to use the G-to-LWSS at a period lower than its recovery time, but the only reason for the high recovery time is the fact that the produced LWSS blocks the path of the input glider.
