Beluchenko's other p37 (or 132P37) is a period-37 oscillator discovered by Nicolay Beluchenko on March 21, 2010.[1] It is the second unique period-37 oscillator to be found, after Beluchenko's p37, and relies on a completely unrelated mechanism where four pi-heptominoes and four blocks are hassled in a rotationally symmetric manner.
The interaction between a pi and an eater 1 is essentially the same as in a PF35W converter, but the resulting wing is quickly cleaned up with another block to prevent it from crashing into the pi. Working at a small prime period, there is no known way for this oscillator to convert that wing to other usable outputs such as a glider or a Herschel.
When the wing is eaten, spark is emitted. Matthias Merzenich noticed that it can reflect gliders in a variety of ways, including a 90° reaction allowing for a p37 glider loop to be built.[2] On June 4, 2021, David Raucci constructed a p74 honey farm hassler utilizing one of the dot sparks[3] (which was since reduced).

Mark Niemiec posted a 40-glider synthesis for this oscillator in September 2013.[4] On September 24, 2025, KtT lowered the cost to 36 gliders.[5][6] On February 11, 2026, PK22 lowered the cost to 32 gliders;[7][8] the next day Chris857 lowered the cost to 28 gliders.[9][10]
