Trans-bun and wing is a 15-cell strict still life consisting of a bun and a wing stabilising each other. It is one of seven ways in which a bun and a wing can be arranged to create a still life, and one of the six which have two separate islands.

This specific isomer is named trans due to the two inducting faces not being skewed from each other, and the "denser" parts of each island are roughly on opposite sides.

Trans-bun and wing is the sixty-third most common still life in Achim Flammenkamp's census, being less common than long shillelagh but more common than boat with long tail.[1]

It is the 65th most common still life on Adam P. Goucher's Catagolue, being less common than beehive at loaf but more common than long integral. It is the 3rd most common still life with 15 cells, being less common than cis-boat on dock but more common than bee hat.[2]

All strict still lifes with a population of 23 or fewer cells, all oscillators with 16 or fewer cells, and all spaceships with 35 or fewer cells are known to be glider-constructible. A glider synthesis of this object can be found in the infobox to the right.
