This is the 34th most common 13-cell still life out of 240.
There is a three-glider collision with this still life in the ash.[ 5]
Isomers
This still life is comprised of the normally stable boat acting to stabilise the normally unstable long bookend , an induction coil . This is one of four possible isomers , named trans due to the boat extending past the side of the bookend, and up , due to the boat being closer to the dense part of the bookend; the other trans isomer, trans-boat down on long bookend , is farther from the dense part of the bookend, and the other two isomers, cis-boat up on long bookend and cis-boat down on long bookend , do not extend past the sides of the bookend (hence cis ).
