Greetings to my fellow Life enthusiasts!
I hail from the mid-80s and was introduced to CGoL already as a child in the early 90s. Towards the end of the decade I made my acquaintance with LifeLab and spent time exploring both Life and Life-like CA. I believe I have over the years at least nascently tested the behavior of all of the 16384 Life-like CA rules with B3 and without B0, B1 or B2.

In the years around 2010 I was for a brief time a student in mathematics, and you may remember me having been particularly active on the early Life Forums at the time. During that time I spent work on early exploration of INT rules and of other alien rules by means of custom ruletables, such as writing the first (?) custom ruletable emulating a knight's-move neighborhood.

I write occasionally the blog Cellular Cosmology for my finds and thoughts in overall CA theory.

Stuff I have in the works here at LifeWiki is largely either minor "WikiGnome" editing, or related to terminology and pattern type classification:

I have not constructed or found any notable patterns, though I have made my share of independent rediscoveries in the past; my best early-00s find was the 3c/7 wave, which I was to my chagrin only slightly late to discover.

By profession I am these days a linguist based in Finland. Largely in this capacity, I go as Tropylium also at Wikipedia or Wiktionary.
