Land Rush rulestring

A note regarding Land Rush: Golly lists this as B36/S234578, while David Eppstein lists it as B35/S234578. The latter, but not the former, rulestring also appears in the [1] index of Adamatzky's Game of Life Cellular Automata (I don't have access to the book itself at the moment), so I'm inclined to believe that this is simply a typo in Golly's documentation. Is this intended as a counterexample for the sentence you removed about B3/S2 still lifes? Just read the sentence again -- the populations where no still lifes are known is "more than 8 and less than 20". Population 44 is known, and not a surprise.

I've restored the deleted sentence, but obviously a citation link would be good for that statement. I do remember there being a source for that 8>pop>20 missing wedge of populations; can anyone track it down? Probably on the forums somewhere? Dvgrn (talk) 10:57, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
