There are two different Life-like rules named Land Rush. In either of two rules, an alive cell dies when it has 0, 1 or 6 alive neighbours, and a new cell is born when it has 3 alive neighbours. In addition, in one of two rules (rulestring B36/S234578),[1][2] a new cell is born when it has 6 alive neighbours; in the other rule (rulestring B35/S234578),[3][4][5] a new cell is born when it has 5 alive neighbours.

B35/S234578

This rule is listed on David Eppstein's "Most wanted" list of rules.[3] There are no known spaceships in this rule.[6]

B36/S234578

This rule is listed on David Eppstein's list of interesting evolution rules.[1]
