Short keys is a period-3 oscillator found by Dean Hickerson in August 1989.[1] In August 2004 Jason Summers found a 10-glider synthesis of this oscillator.[2] It can be extended infinitely, like the odd keys and bent keys.
As a sparker
Either by itself or attached to something else, short keys can be used as a sparker.
