A period-39 glider gun is any glider gun which emits a period-39 gliderstream. The first true-period 39 glider gun was completed by Caleb R. Hilton on July 25th, 2026,[1] based on a p39 dependent reflector.[2] The original gun was 46 × 35 cells large. Over the next few days, the main p3 catalyst was reduced by Entity Valkyrie 2,[3] then by Caleb R. Hilton,[2], iNoMed.[4], and hotcrystal0.[5] It was then reduced to a 40 × 24 form by iNoMed by replacing the chucklebait with a p3 chucklebait variant by hotcrystal0[6] which allows the glider to escape in a different direction in order to fit in a further reduced version of the large p3.[7] Soon after, iNoMed also reduced the chucklebait variant to reduce the gun even further.[7] However, by modifying the stator of the large p3, iNoMed was able to revert back to the standard chucklebait, resulting in the current 33 × 26 form of the gun.[8]
