A glider gun is any gun that fires gliders. The most well-known glider gun by far is the Gosper glider gun.
In Conway's Game of Life, the lowest possible period of a periodic glider stream is 14. There are known ways of producing glider streams of every possible period, using either true-period or pseudo-period glider guns.
