Edge-repair spaceship 2 is a c/4 orthogonal edge-repair spaceship that was found by Stephen Silver in November 2000. Leading up to its construction, its T-tetromino component was found to be self-repairing by David Bell in October 2000. Soon after, Silver observed that it could be used to delete beehives, and thus created this spaceship.
This spaceship uniquely contains two copies of this particular edge-repair reaction. It was the smallest that uses this reaction until the discovery of 37P4H1V0.
