37P4H1V0 is an unnamed c/4 orthogonal spaceship discovered by Josh Ball in April 2012.[1] On November 22, 2023, Keith Amling proved that it is the unique smallest period-4 c/4 orthogonal spaceship in terms of its minimum population of 37 cells.[2] This spaceship can perform the edge repair reaction akin to Edge-repair spaceship 2.

Glider synthesis

Main article: Glider synthesis

37P4H1V0 does not have a known glider synthesis as of October 2024, despite it being the smallest c/4 orthogonal spaceship, and the fact that a larger c/4 orthogonal spaceship, 46P4H1V0, does have a known synthesis.
