Commonness

Among still lifes with 12 cells, this is the 19th most common still life according to Catagolue. Among all still lifes, it ranks 157th.

In diagonal symmetries, including 8-fold symmetries, it is much more common, becoming the third, fourth, or fifth (depending on the specific symmetry) most common 12-cell still life.

The octo3obj database contains one collision[2] with this still life occurring in the ash.
