Cap (or covered table ) is an induction coil . It can be stabilized to form a period-3 oscillator ; see candelabra for a slight variation on this.
Unattended, this evolves into an interchange .
Generation 3 of cap's evolution
Interchange is generation 22 of cap's evolution

Still lifes
There are two ways in which two caps can be arranged to create a still life :

In other rules
In tlife and other rules without S2i, cap is a period 4 oscillator . However, it will still act as an induction coil in the same way it does in standard Life.
x = 4, y = 3, rule = B3/S2-i34q
