Boris (Bob) Shemyakin is a Life enthusiast who was active on the forums from 2014-2019 and discovered and/or improved a number of glider syntheses for patterns that had never been previously reported, including 6-glider syntheses of Test tube baby, Short keys, and Tumbler. Also, in June 2014, he discovered a 3-glider synthesis of the Bi-pond, the first new 3-glider synthesis reported in almost two decades.[1]
