- Not to be confused with Inflexion.
Inflection is a still life-related term used to refer to a set of somewhat-related still life modifications:
- the attachment of a feather to a supporting region of the still life
- the replacement of a curl motif with a more feather-like shape
On this wiki, the second definition is what the term is used for, to prevent confusion. (Cases of the former are usually named "[base still life] with feather"; e.g. snake with feather, carrier with feather, eater with feather.)
