Wavestretcher

A wavestretcher is a spaceship pattern that supports a connection to an extensible periodic wick-like structure, whose speed and/or direction of propagation are different from those of the wavestretcher spaceship.
The following c/5 orthogonal pattern, discovered by Matthias Merzenich in 2011,[1] is shown below, an anteater connected to a standard diagonal antstretcher. This creates an oblique antstretcher, a type of growing spaceship. Eight copies of this can also be used to in an alternate space nonfiller mechanism.[2]
