The milkbone is 254-bit still life with D4_+2 symmetry occurring in Day & Night. It is found remarkably often in the ash of random soups given its size, due to the existence of a much smaller 36-cell 5×12 precursor that evolves into the milkbone and copies of an unnamed period-4 oscillator, xp4_272, in 143 generations.
