The agar that provides the initial unconstructible still life is of interest, since unlike others like the block agar, it's known that no construction can exist for a sufficiently large rectangular subsection.

Thus far, only the smallest case (snakes around one block) has known syntheses, first in 20 gliders by GUYTU6J in 2022,[1] then in 16 by Mitchell Riley via a modified QuFince.[2]
