I'd like to take out the extra line and associated pattern that says the L112 "can also act as a G-to-H when a loaf (or boat), block and snake/eater 1 is added." That hasn't actually been used in a Quetzal gun or anywhere, has it? If it has, it needs a reference.
If no reference is available, it's probably because the reaction is not usable in practice. If you need a very specific extra glider input to get a Herschel output, and if there's no extraordinarily simple mechanism of producing that specific glider, then it's most likely going to be very difficult to make use of the reaction in a reasonable-sized pattern. If you have a spare glider and you want a Herschel, it's almost always going to be more efficient to convert the glider to a Herschel directly with a syringe, and avoid the expensive micro-adjustment circuitry needed to line up the glider with the L112 correctly.
This is another subtle notability vs. non-notability distinction. There are many thousands of ways to get extra signals out of Herschel conduits by adding extra gliders. But if we try to document them all, then in practice new readers will have a hard time figuring out how to build workable circuitry, because there will be too much useless stuff cluttering up the Herschel-conduit articles. Please see period-61 glider gun. Probably because this is hidden. If not, see the following RLE:
In the North-east corner, gliders are using L112 to turn themselves into gliders with boat, block and snake.
THe 90 and 180 degree can be seen in the p59 gun.

These glider-converting tricks have not seen uses in other contexts, so I finally decided to remove the content from article and move it here: GUYTU6J (talk) 14:00, 29 April 2022 (UTC)

By removing the eater 1/block constellation on the bottom right, L112 can dependently reflect gliders by 90° and 180° (leaving a block that the next Herschel's spark in the loop can delete), as used in the large quetzal guns. It can also dependently act as a G-to-H when a loaf (or boat), block and snake/eater 1 is added.

In the LifeViewer above, the second example's Herschel collides with the block, but in an actual loop, it is the first example's "next" Herschel in the loop that will delete this block.
