The tetramer occurrence

It is listed as having been discovered in the tetramer form, however going to the forum post in which it is shown shows an occurrence in a D4_+1 symmetry, surely it would be about half of the size so would occur in about the square-root of the proportion of the soups if you were searching D8_1 instead (being that it's eightfold)? The early occurrences in Catagolue aren't listed in the attributes page, so if this is the first mention, perhaps the true first one has been lost to time.
