True period versus pseudo period

Could I get some clarification about what makes PS942 true period while Paul Callahan's gun is considered pseudo period? Paul Callahan's gun seems to be oscillating with period 94 from what I can tell, and that's the definition of "true period" that I've been using. If that's not the correct definition (or there's some subtlety that I'm missing, which is most likely the case), then the wiki page for guns should make this clearer, as well.
