Slope

The slope of a spaceship (more generally any moving object) with displacement (n, m) is the maximum of m and n divided by the minimum of m and n if both are non-zero, zero otherwise:

Hence, the slope of an orthogonal spaceship is 0; the slope of a diagonal spaceship is 1; the slope of a knightship is 2; etc.
