Purpose Minimise stators
Created by Keith Amling
Platform Platform-independent

rstatoropt is a program written by Keith Amling, for minimising populations of oscillators' stators by searching for reductions in slices of configurable width. It accepts plaintext files as inputs, not RLEs.

It can be easily modified to work in any outer-totalistic rule.[1]

Constraints

Labelling any off/on cell as r/R respectively will cause it to be treated as a 'period-1 rotor,' and all optimisations will ensure its state is preserved.

There is a branch on its Git repository which allows labelling cells f/F to force all alterations to swap their states, useful in increasing clearance.
