p6 thumb is a small period-6 thumb spark oscillator that was found by David Eppstein on June 26, 2000.[1]
It is the smallest known period-6 sparker that is not delayed; only unix is smaller, which has cells on its leading edge for two generations. Because of this, it is commonly used in higher-period hasslers.
The p6 thumb has occurred semi-naturally in a dimer form.

SKOPs
Shuttle oscillators made with p6 thumbs with periods of the form 162+24N are often the smallest known oscillators of those periods, though there are various exceptions for specific LCM oscillators, as well as for some infinite families of competing low-population shuttles using oscillators of higher periods such as pentadecathlons.
