B2o/S2m34H is a hexagonal isotropic non-totalistic cellular automaton devised by Paul Callahan at December 3, 1997. It was one of the first explored hexagonal rules. It features Life-like dynamics.

On February 25, 2024, Peter Naszvadi constructed a Rule 110 unit cell in B2o/S2m34H, proving the rule Turing-complete. [1]

Patterns

There are no still lives in this rule, because for cells to survive by S2m on the corner of a pattern, B2o must be triggered.

Oscillators

There are several oscillators in this rule, including flippers of periods 2, 4 and 8.

Spaceships

The most common spaceship in this rule is a glide-symmetric 2c/4.
