Loaf with bit[1] is a simple induction coil. If not stabilised, its evolution rapidly converges to that of the teardrop.

It can be derived from a loaf if the extra cell is placed in a manner that preserves symmetry. The other two positions produce wing.

It also can be used to create a wick by attaching it to more copies of itself.
