Kermit is a c/5 orthogonal spaceship that is notable for having a known glider synthesis. It was found by Frank Everdij on February 3, 2022, who named it "Kermit" for its resemblance to a frog,[1] in reference to the popular Muppets character Kermit the Frog.
On December 30, 2024, Goldtiger997 found a final synthesis step for Kermit.[2] It was then completed in 343 gliders (337 actual gliders and two LWSSes) the next day.[3] It has since been reduced by multiple people.
