Hooked nine (or bend nine) is an 8-cell still life component, and an extension of nine by two cells (a domino).
Not all objects which can have nines attached can have hooked nines attached, as hooked nines attach in a fundamentally different way to normal tails. The following are examples of small objects with hooked nines:
