Asymmetric amphisbaena[1] or hook line long hook is a 12-cell still life. This still life is comprised of a normally unstable hook and a normally unstable long hook connected by a three-cell-long line.
Construction
This still life is known to be constructible with 5 gliders;[1] it is the rarest 12-cell still life to have a known five-glider synthesis.
A 5-glider synthesis was found in August 2022.[2][3] Some known alternate syntheses can be found in Mark Niemiec's database.[4]

Occurrence
Among the 121 still lifes with 12 cells, asymmetric amphisbaena is the 112th most common (i.e. 10th rarest) still life according to Catagolue.
There are no occurrences of this still life in final patterns of collisions in octohash, octo3obj or octo3g databases.
