Four eaters hassling lumps of muck (or 35P52 ) is a period-52 oscillator discovered by David Buckingham on October 1, 1977 ,[ 1] making it the first oscillator of that period to be found. It consists of four copies of eater 1 hassling lumps of muck . In terms of its 35 cells it is the smallest known period 52 oscillator.[ 2] All of the eaters may individually be replaced with eater 2s .
