Cottonmouth is a c/10 orthogonal pushalong for the copperhead and fireship discovered by AforAmpere on 24 March 2018.[1] It is infinitely extensible because it has a copperhead-like formation in the front on which another cottonmouth can be placed.

Synthesis
On June 8, 2026, vilc found a 118-glider synthesis of cottonmouth, starting from a copperhead and using 105 additional gliders to append the cottonmouth pushalong.[2][3]
