90P51 is a period-51 oscillator, and was the smallest known of its period until the discovery of the capped p51 gun in November 2022. It consists of a honey thieves variant interacting with an unnamed period 3 oscillator. The p3 eater 2 variant was originally found by Noam Elkies on July 24, 2000 and used to construct 134P39.1,[1] while Adam P. Goucher[2] and Matthias Merzenich[3] discovered in September 2014 that it could be combined with honey thieves to produce a p51 oscillator. The p3 portion of this oscillator was later reduced by two cells in July 2021, with one-cell reductions each by James Pascua and Matthias Merzenich.[4]
