52P44 is a period-44 oscillator discovered on October 3, 2022.[1] Its original 54-cell form, featuring four eater 1s, was found by Mitchell Riley, while iNoMed discovered that two of them could be replaced with toads to give a 52-cell form.[2] In terms of cell count, it is the smallest p44 oscillator not based on an LCM mechanism, surpassing variants of the p44 pi-heptomino hassler.

A 28-glider synthesis for this oscillator was found on December 9, 2022.[3]
