50p116 is a period-116 oscillator discovered by Mitchell Riley on May 15, 2026.[1] In terms of its minimum population of 50 cells, it is the smallest known period 116 oscillator, surpassing the 68-cell mold on p58 pi-heptomino hassler. The active region is the same as that in Karel's p177. Its sparks can be used to form least common multiple oscillators, but no uses as required supports have been found yet. On the day of its discovery, KtT found an 18-glider synthesis of this oscillator.[2]
