409P7 is a period-7 oscillator and middleweight sparker. It was discovered by Matthias Merzenich on December 11, 2024, based on a partial result by hotcrystal0.

Placing a blinker in front of the sparks creates a pi-heptomino that, if left alone, pushes the blinker four cells forward. While a shuttle can't be made by pushing the blinker back using the same mechanism, perturbing the pi-heptomino before the reaction completes can create period-14 and period-21 oscillators.
