409P6H1V0 is a c/6 orthogonal spaceship that was found by Andrew J. Wade on March 17, 2020 using life_slice_ship_search and noticed by him the next day.[1] Being only 12 cells wide, it is the narrowest c/6 orthogonal spaceship possible, as an exhaustive search by praosylen disproved the existence of an 11-cell-wide one.[2] Interestingly, the longest 11-cell-wide partial[n 1] shares its frontend.
Notes
- ↑ Excluding those created by repeating the same component multiple times, which could be arbitrarily long.
