400spartans is a community member who is known for finding multiple self-forcing agar patches that allowed for the reduction of an unsynthesisable still life from 306 to 278 cells on September 4, 2023,[1] 236 on March 12, 2024,[2] 184 on September 2, 2024,[3] 162 in January, 2025,[4] and 154 on April 4, 2025.[5]
They also proved that the maximum density of a periodic agar is no greater than 17/28.
