Orion is a c/4 diagonal spaceship that was found by Hartmut Holzwart in April 1993. It is the smallest known c/4 diagonal spaceship other than the glider that does not include a glider tagalong. Two gliders can be temporarily seen at the front of the ship; these do not stay gliders but still move like them.
On May 11, 2026, vilc found a 67-glider synthesis of Orion.[1] The next day, KtT and vilc improved the cost down to 55 gliders.[2] On May 15, Goldtiger997 lowered the cost to 44 gliders.[3]
