200P199 (or p199 R-pentomino hassler) is a 199 oscillator found by Mitchell Riley and ljkiernan1 on July 6, 2022 using a symmetric variant of CatForce. While its original 248-cell form (using eater 4 as a catalyst) does not produce any useful sparks, its reduced form with 200 cells (shown to the right) happens to function as a pipsquirter. Despite having relatively low clearance, the spark can still be used to form LCM oscillators. It is currently the highest known prime-period oscillator that does not rely on glider or signal loops, surpassing 74P127 which was discovered just four days earlier.

84P199 (or p199 R-pentomino hassler) is a period-199 oscillator found by Mitchell Riley and Luke Kiernan on July 6, 2022 using a symmetric variant of CatForce. It hassles 4 R-pentominoes or 4 lumps of muck with 14 blocks. While its original 248-cell form (using eater 4 as a catalyst)[1] does not produce any useful sparks, its reduced form with 200 cells[2] (shown in reference), in addition to later versions, happens to function as a pipsquirter. Despite having relatively low clearance, the spark can still be used to form LCM oscillators.[3] It has since been reduced to its 104-cell form[4] and then to 84 cells.[5][6] It is currently the highest known prime-period oscillator that does not rely on glider or signal loops, surpassing 74P127 which was discovered just four days earlier.

LCM oscillators

The LCM oscillators below are listed due to being the smallest known ones by population while also satisfying the condition that at least one cell oscillates at the full period.[7]
