p25 pre-pulsar shuttle is a period-25 shuttle oscillator discovered in its original form by Jason Summers on May 14, 2007.[1] On May 10, 2013 Matthias Merzenich replaced the large period-5 sparkers in the original form with smaller stable catalysts found by Mike Playle.[2] It was subsequently reduced to the 83-cell variant shown here by iNoMed on July 9, 2021.[3] In terms of its minimum population of 83 cells, it was the smallest known period-25 oscillator until the discovery of 30P25 in 2022.

On July 10, 2021, iNoMed found a glider synthesis for an 84-cell version of the oscillator,[4] and another synthesis for the 83-cell version the next day.[5]
