{{lim}} is a template for expressing mathematical limits. Parameters:

  • lim (or first argument): The value to express beneath its name.
  • expr (or second argument): The expression evaluated within the brackets.
  • name (or third argument): The name to replace the lim with. (optional)
  • sep: The separation of the subscript part beneath the name, where 0 keeps them the default line width apart. (default -0.5em, which seems to look best on my device)

Example:

  • <tt>{{lim|n→∞|n!/(sqrt(2*π*n)*(n/e)n)}}=1</tt> becomes limn→∞(n!/(sqrt(2*π*n)*(n/e)n))=1

From Bill Gosper's identity page:

limn→∞(∏2*nk=n(π/(2*atan(k))))=41/π
