Java Square Cell, Java Hexagonal Cell and Java Triangular Cell are three related Java cellular automaton simulation programs developed by Brian Prentice. Each of the three programs are respectively intended for simulating cellular automata on square, hexagonal and triangular grids.
Features
The Java Cell programs allow for the customization of rules via a rule table system which differs from that of Golly and LifeViewer, with a visual editing system for such tables. State weights can be applied for cells in a neighbourhood, which is range 2 at its largest for Square Cell and Hexagonal Cell.
