m AwesoMan3000 moved page 30P4H2V0.4 to 30P4H2V0 without leaving a redirect: boldly moving - there appears to be a consensus that distinguishing this from all other 30-bit 2c/4 spaceships is redundant, unuseful and just causes more confusion

It has been proposed that this page be moved to 30P4H2V0 due to the following reason: All other spaceships qualifying for "30P4H2V0" are either standard spaceship flotillae or involve other objects attached to standard spaceships, and all have names in at least somewhat common use or can otherwise be easily broken down, so the ".4" at the end is unnecessary since none of those other ships will be referred to as a 30P4H2V0.x in common parlance. This was the case for 12P2 before being renamed to Lei, as there was no identifying number after it despite the existence of other 12-cell period-2 oscillators.

30P4H2V0.4 is a spaceship. It maintains a singly skewed D2_+2 symmetry — an extremely unusual symmetry both in Life and in 2D square-grid CAs in general — in three out of its four phases.

It is one of the relatively few spaceships that can be constructed by gliders, though the best available still-life constellation seed for the final construction stage (found by Tanner Jacobi on 10 September 2015[1]) is unusually complex.

Improvements to the synthesis have since been found.[2]
