The p143 Bandersnatch loop is a period-143 oscillator found by Sphenocorona on June 10, 2020.[1] Originally stabilized using two copies of 66P13, a smaller version using only still lifes as stabilization was found by iNoMed on January 3, 2022.[2] A 58-glider synthesis of this latter version was found later the same day.[3] A 54-glider synthesis was found by KtT on July 23, 2023,[4][5] with a reduction to 50 gliders on January 11, 2025.[6][7]

Also on January 3, Entity Valkyrie found a stabilization that doubles the overall period of the oscillator to 286.[8] A glider synthesis for this version was found on February 19.[9]

On January 2, 2023, EvinZL found a smaller version of the p143 bandersnatch loop, with minimum population 122.[10]
