It is notable because it is one of very few patterns to naturally emit a lightweight spaceship during the course of its evolution. For this pattern, the lightweight spaceship is created on the west side at generation 13811, before it is partially disturbed by a nearby set of cells but survives and starts to escape westwards.

Simon Ekström identified an 11-cell equivalent fitting in the same 5 × 8 bounding box on May 13, 2016.[1]

A temporary long snake is formed at generation 7775.
