repository of patterns

I'm working on a database project for school, and having free reign over the particulars, I thought I might enjoy working with cellular autonama more than something like bank accounts.
I've been looking for a repository of interesting patterns in life, but I can't seem to find any. Is anyone aware of anything like what I'm looking for? It doesn't need to be particularly large, or exaustive, just anything interesting that I can easily parse.
