What exactly is the full path to that .dll file?
Did you download the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Golly? If the latter then it requires a 64-bit Python (ditto for Perl).

Golly 64-bit version for Windows, Python version installed 64-bit (checked twice), still don't work

But that's the path I told you to use (in another thread) for a 32-bit Python with a 32-bit Golly, so I'm pretty sure the above dll is 32-bit and that's why it won't work with 64-bit Golly.
If you really do have 64-bit Python installed then there is probably another python*.dll file stored somewhere else on your C drive, so do a search (including all hidden files and folders). When you find it, edit your GollyPrefs file and change the python_lib setting to the full path to the 64-bit dll file.

Entered the string but now after clicking any python script it shows message:
The Python library does not have this symbol:
Py_InitModule4
What is this symbol?

I'm also getting
The Python library does not have this symbol:
Py_InitModule4
I have 64-bit golly and 64-bit python.

Thanks for reporting that error message. I now think the problem is at our end -- ie. the 64-bit Golly hasn't been built correctly. Hopefully we'll have a new build in the next day or two for you to try.

Here is a new 64-bit build that should work:
http://www.trevorrow.com/golly/golly-2.3-win-x64.zip
Please try it and let me know how it goes. Note that the path to the 64-bit Python 2.7 library seems to be C:\Windows\System32\python27.dll.
If you want to run a 32-bit Golly as well then the 32-bit Python 2.7 path is C:\Windows\SysWOW64\python27.dll (not very intuitive!). If you do that though you need to have two GollyPrefs files (put them in the same folder as the corresponding Golly.exe).

Great, it is working now.
Another thing that is bothering me about the new version:
When you zoom with (by default) ] or [, the screen stays centered on the same cell. In version 2.2 and earlier, scrolling with the mouse wheel worked the same way. But now, scrolling with the mouse wheel zooms on wherever the mouse is pointing (effectively working like the magnifying glass tool). Is there a way to change this back?

Sorry, no. It was agreed by most of the Golly devs that mouse wheel zooming should use the mouse position. If enough people complain then in the next version we might provide an option to go back to the old method.

Golly is working for me too, but I'm not complaining about [ and ],because I don't even use them
