Cambrian Life (B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e)

This rule has some interesting behaviors, such as this one:
Code:
Select all
x = 9, y = 8, rule = B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e
bo$2bo$3o4$6b3o$7bo!
This reaction changes the direction of T-tetronimo by 90° right.
If you're confused the T-tetronimo (or T-pentomino) moves at c/5 orthogonally.
There's that one oscillator that spawns when two beehives meet.
Code:
Select all
x = 8, y = 3, rule = B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e
b2o2b2o$o2b2o2bo$b2o2b2o!
It's a period-6 where one of its phases are two squiggly lines.
This pattern is a still life
Code:
Select all
x = 5, y = 5, rule = B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e
b2o$o2bo$bo2bo$2bobo$3bo!
it's a bulky loaf

Also: this cheap gamet has the glider be destroyed and turn the oscillator into chaotic, releasing a glider in the same direction, resulting in the illusion of the glider destroying it
Code:
Select all
x = 11, y = 13, rule = B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e

You may want to try out

I can take some time to do the search for you over the weekend
Do you have a PC/Laptop at all?
Unfortunately, this rules is a
stable rule, which means it is harder to engineer patterns. But keep at it!

No, try running it (if you want you can ask some others)

discovered a p16 puffer with speed 10c/16

The 10c/16o puffer is actually 6c/16 (or just 3c/8). Don't worry about it, though.
p32:
Code:
Select all
x = 27, y = 27, rule = B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e

If you don't have a PC, then
rlifesrc is a good option for pattern searching. It doesn't submit anything to Catagolue, and its not the fastest, but it is handy in finishing/finding very specific patterns.
Also, I'm doing some small-scale APGsearching for the rule to see what pops up. It would be ideal if the rule had
- High-period or sparky oscillators
- A variety of still lifes/still life components
I'll look at a few symmetries and see what it picks up.
UPDATE:
Searching done!
High-period or sparky oscillators
There were a few high-period oscillators picked up in the search, but they're pretty lame. In C1, there was a p14.
Code:
Select all
x = 9, y = 10, rule = B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e
b2o$obo$bo2b2o$4bo2$4bo$3b2o2bo$6bobo$5bo2bo$6b2o!
In D8_1 there was a p11,
Code:
Select all
x = 19, y = 19, rule = B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e
7bo3bo$6b2o3b2o$5b2o5b2o$6b2o3b2o$7bo3bo$2bo13bo$b3o11b3o$2ob2o9b2ob2o
4$2ob2o9b2ob2o$b3o11b3o$2bo13bo$7bo3bo$6b2o3b2o$5b2o5b2o$6b2o3b2o$7bo
3bo!
And an
interesting series of period-32 oscillators hassling some kind of reaction. Here's the version where blocks are used as stabilization.
Code:
Select all
x = 29, y = 29, rule = B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e
11b2o3b2o$11b2o3b2o$14bo$13b3o8$2o11b3o11b2o$2o12bo12b2o$3bo7bo2bo2bo

o$11b2o3b2o$11b2o3b2o!
I did not find any sparky oscillators.
Natural linear growth
The search only got one type of linear growth in C1: This loaf puffer.
Code:
Select all
x = 11, y = 12, rule = B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e
3bo$2b3o$bo3bo$2o3b2o$bo3bo$2b3o$3bo$bo$obo5b2o$o2bo3bo2bo$b2o4bobo$8b
o!
There are a few variants of it in D8_1.
A variety of still lifes/still life components
There were indeed, a lot of still lifes that had some kind of components, like induction coils.
Miscellaneous
A couple of SMOSes were found in D8_1 and C1.
Code:
Select all
x = 9, y = 16, rule = B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e
3bo2b3o$2b2o3b2o$3bo2b3o10$6bo$2o4b3o$3o3bo$2o!

Did some rlifesrc-ing, and I found some spaceships.
c/2o, 99% sure this is minimal.
Code:
Select all
x = 14, y = 15, rule = B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e
5bobo$2b2obo3bo$2bo3bobo$2bobo3bob2obo$13bo$b3o6bo$b2o7bobo$obo6bo$b2o
7bobo$b3o6bo$13bo$2bobo3bob2obo$2bo3bobo$2b2obo3bo$5bobo!
I can confirm there are no c/3 ships with a 16x16 bounding box.
2c/4o, idk if this is minimal but with my search it was
Code:
Select all
x = 9, y = 19, rule = B3-ckq/S2-i3-q4e
3bo$b5o$2obo$o3b4o$bobo4bo$b4o3bo2$2bobob2o$2bo$bo$2bo$2bobob2o2$b4o3b

An absolutely bizarre p8 made from still-lifes from C4_1

And a p70 seemingly based on the p32
Code:
