Infinite power strategies in other rules

Post by unname4798 »

One cell is one energy point and vice versa.
What can you do to get the most energy per generation?
My solution for B3i6i/S:

Code: Select all

x = 10, y = 1, rule = B3i6i/S
10o!
6 energy/gen.

i kept clicking the title thinking this was a post in your sandbox thread. you made an entire thread for this.....

here's a solution on par with my "pre-block" solution for life, but for maze.

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 1, rule = B3/S12345
3o!
harvest the cells on top and bottom every generation. this works for most b3/s12 type rules, i believe.
here's the gosper glider gun

Code: Select all

#R life
24bo$22bobo$12b2o6b2o12b2o$11bo3bo4b2o12b2o$2o8bo5bo3b2o$2o8bo3bob2o4b
obo$10bo5bo7bo$11bo3bo$12b2o!

Minrule:

Code: Select all

#R B3i/S1e2i
3o!
Infinitely extensible.

Code: Select all

x = 10, y = 1, rule = B3i/S1e2i
10o!

Try using S0 (this gives 49 power for 2 cells over 8 generations:)

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 1, rule = B2-ae3ajqy4ekty5einry6cek78/S02ei3aejnq4-cejnr5-aeqy67e8
obo!
In tommyaweosme's measurement, this would be 6.17p/g. However, infinite power strategies can result in exponential growth, so it can also be thought of as p=2*(24.5^g).
